This wonderful property counting 40.000 square meters is located near
to the small village of Lormes.
This town, containing 1500 inhabitants, lays in the Parc Naturel Regional
du Morvan
("black mountains") in the Burgundy region. The private park,
surrounded by walls has a serene atmosphere with French gardens, a
forrest lane guiding you through the woods, fruittrees and a rosebed,
used to be home to the historical Chateau Croix Chatain, that was
burned down in the second world war. On the estate you will
find the gites Manoir la Croix Chatain
(small castle for 10 persons max.) and the Coach
driver's house la Croix Chatain (housing 2 persons).
You will also find a restaurated coachhouse and the Bergerie la Croix
Chatain, formal fruiterie, bakery, horsestables, watertower and large
winecellars. Buzzards circling above the house, on the forrestside
a badgercastle, sometimes a deer right in front of the porch.
